David Marks is most famous for being the rhythm guitar player of the Beach Boys. When the band signed a contract with Capitol Records in 1962, Marks was only 13 years old.
In 1955, Marks’ family became neighbors with the Wilson brothers who later went on to found the Beach Boys. Throughout the 1950′s, David regularly joined the Wilson family to sing and play music, sparking his interest in playing an instrument himself. David received his first guitar in 1958 on Christmas Eve and began taking lessons immediately.
